Case: 6 bottles

Alexander vs The Ham Factory was born from the best Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) vineyards in Aranda de Duero. The vineyards were selected in 2013 and located 900 meters above sea level. It is a reflection of the viticulture and style of Ribera del Duero.

  • 2013 was the year in which Casa Rojo and the Miguel Sanz family came together to elaborate a great wine in the Ribera del Duero. This is the result, and there are only 46,953 bottles of 75 cl and 4,226 magnums. Cup-shaped vines with a planting frame of 2.5 meters by 1. Yield of 4,000 kilos per hectare which guarantees a greater concentration of the grapes and allows the wine to age and improve in the bottle for the next 10 years. The clay-limestone soils and vineyards are around 25-30 years old.

Alexander vs The Ham Factory is harvested early in the day during the second fortnight of October. The grapes go through two selection tables before entering the cellar by gravity. Fermentation is done in stainless steel tanks.

Aging is done for approximately 18 months in new French oak barrels of 225 liters from ANA, Seguin Moreau, Saint Martin and Saurí cooperages. Reductive aging in bottle for at least six months.

The wine is an intense red colour, carmine, with intense violet nuances. Nose of high intensity, black fruit compote with notes of cocoa, mocha and vanilla. Memories of ripe black fruit.
